Eyebrow Microblading in Tucson

3d Microblading Eyebrows Manual Hair Technique

henna brows

Eyebrow microblading is the art of creating fuller thicker eyebrows through the use of a manual technique.

The process involves the application of detailed, fine lines on the eyebrow area that effectively mimic the natural color and fine hairs that form the eyebrow.

First, a blade is used to make fine, microstroking incisions on the skin in a shape and form that has been predetermined by the microblading specialist and the client. Next, ink or dye is placed on the area that effectively soaks into the tiny incisions, creating a hair stroke.

Microblading is semi-permanent, and will last around 12 months before a touch-up bocomes necessary.

It is recommended not to get the eyebrow area wet for 10 days after the procedure to ensure that the pigment has a chance to settle and that it remains for longer. This means no washing the area or performing exercise or other activities that could cause sweating.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between microblading, powder brows, and combo brows?

Microblading uses a fine manual tool to create hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs for a soft, natural look. Powder brows use a machine to create a soft, airbrushed shading effect for a more defined, makeup-like finish. Combo brows combine both techniques, giving you the texture of hair strokes with the depth and dimension of shading — the best of both worlds.

However, microblading is not ideal for everyone. If you have oily skin, large pores, mature or thin skin, sun damaged skin, active breakouts, or a history of keloid scarring, powder brows or combo brows will give you better, longer-lasting results. During your complimentary consultation we’ll evaluate your skin and recommend the perfect technique designed specifically for you — so you always leave with brows you love.

How long does the appointment take?

Your initial appointment is 2.5–3 hours. Your touch-up appointment at 4–6 weeks is 60–90 minutes.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 1–3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oily skin may fade faster than dry skin. An annual color boost at 12 months keeps your brows looking fresh and vibrant.

Is it painful?

Most clients are pleasantly surprised. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Sensitivity varies by person—most describe it as mild pressure or light scratching.

Can I get permanent brows if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. We do not perform permanent makeup services on clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is a safety precaution to protect both you and your baby. We’d love to see you once you’re cleared by your doctor.

Are there any health conditions that may disqualify me?

Yes. For your safety, permanent makeup may not be suitable if you have any of the following:

  • Active skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis near the brow area
  • Diabetes or autoimmune disorders
  • History of keloid scarring
  • Currently taking blood thinners or Accutane
  • Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
  •  Please disclose your full health history during your consultation so we can ensure you are a safe and ideal candidate
Who is a good candidate for permanent brows?

Anyone looking to simplify their beauty routine, fill in sparse or over-tweezed brows, or restore brows lost due to alopecia, medical conditions, or aging. It is also a life-changing service for those with poor vision, unsteady hands, skin sensitivities to makeup, or busy lifestyles.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
  • Avoid alcohol and blood thinners 24 hours before
  • No caffiene the morning of your appointment
  • Do not work out the day of your appointment
  • Avoid retinol near the brow area one month prior
  • Come with clean skin and no makeup on the brow area
  • If you have had Botox treatments book four weeks out.
What does the healing process look like?

Days 1–3 your brows will appear dark and bold. Days 4–7 they will begin to flake and peel—do not pick! By weeks 2–4 they will soften and appear up to 50% lighter. Final results are visible after your touch-up at 4–6 weeks. Trust the process—it’s all part of the journey.

Why is the touch-up required?

Permanent makeup heals differently on every client. The touch-up allows us to perfect your shape, fill any gaps, and lock in your color. It is not optional—it is an essential part of achieving your best results.

Can I get permanent brows if I already have previous brow tattooing?

It depends. If you have existing permanent makeup or tattooed brows from another studio, a consultation is required so we can assess the current pigment, shape, and condition. A color correction service or laser removal may be recommended.

Is there anything I should avoid after my appointment?
  • Getting brows wet for 10 days
  • Sweating heavily or swimming
  • Sun exposure and tanning beds
  • Picking or peeling flaking skin
  • Facials
  • Botox
  • Applying makeup directly on the brow area
